UNY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY STUDY PROGRAM CONDUCTS LATEST RESEARCH: USING VR TECHNOLOGY TO TRAIN STUDENTS IN JOB INTERVIEW PREPARATION

[Yogyakarta, 06/11/2023] – The Information Technology Study Program of Yogyakarta State University (UNY) is pleased to announce the implementation of a new research entitled “Using VR technology to train university students in job interview essentials”. This research aims to develop a job interview training method for students by utilizing Virtual Reality (VR) technology.

This research is led by a research team consisting of lecturers and students of UNY Information Technology Study Program. Through this research, the team hopes to create an innovative solution that will help students better prepare for job interviews, which is one of the important stages in the job search process.

In this research, VR technology is used to simulate a realistic job interview environment. Thus, students can practice dealing with various situations and questions that may arise during the interview. In addition, this technology allows students to receive immediate and interactive feedback, allowing them to improve their performance and boost their confidence.

“We see that VR technology has great potential to be used in various fields of education, including in practicing job interview skills. With this research, we hope to make a real contribution in preparing students to face the challenges of the world of work,” said one of the research team members.

As part of this research, the developed product has been tested in a study program for students. The test involved a number of students who participated in a simulated interview session using VR technology. The test results showed a positive response from the participants, who felt an improvement in their readiness and confidence to face real job interviews.

UNY Information Technology Study Program is always committed to continue to innovate and provide the best for students. This research is one of the tangible proofs of these efforts. Hopefully, the results of this research can be implemented soon and provide broad benefits for all UNY students.
